Accomplished Back To Best In Singapore (TBV)

Victorian-bred gelding Accomplished lunged right on the line to win a Kranji Open Hcp (1400m) in a blanket finish on Friday.

The Golden Snake galloper was taking on heavyweights like Stepitup, Goodman and Trudeau at his second run back from a six-month spell but still showed plenty of determination to come out tops in a thrilling four-way go.

Accomplished (4g Golden Snake – Gold Patriot by Made Of Gold) had won 5 races for trainer Sam Chua before transferring to Tan Hor Khoon earlier this year. Friday’s sixth win from 16 starts increased his earnings to $S321,000. “He’s a lovely horse and he’s not 100% yet,” jockey Joseph See said. “We were planning to hit the front early but the pace was too fast so I sat back and decided to go for it around the 400m mark. He kept going all the way to the line.”

Accomplished is a full-brother to Super Gold who was a Group 3 winner of the 2009 Committee’s Prize and 2010 Moonbeam Vase. He was bred by Paul Kristoris from former Milluna Park mare Gold Patriot and she has a 2yo colt and a yearling filly by Golden Snake.
