Bianconi By The Dozen in October
Nov 10, 2014
Highlighting the fact that he is one of Victoria’s most reliable stallions, Ridgeview Park’s Bianconi has been represented by twelve smart winners since the start of October.
On two days during that time frame he has sired multiple winners – a double on October 4 and a treble last Saturday.
Most impressive of those winners was the lightly raced Alcobro who remains undefeated after three starts.
Jumping straight to the front at Morphettville, the Richard Jolly trained three-year-old was strong to the line as he had been at his previous two starts.
As adaptable as he is talented, Alcobro came from last to win at Morphettville last month – putting on display an outstanding turn of foot.
Jolly has told the press that he is excited about Alcobro’s long term prospects, labelling him a promising horse “still on the improve.”
“He is still learning what it’s all about. It looks like exciting times ahead.”
Bred by Lauriston Thoroughbred Farm, Alcobro is out of the General Nediym mare Tendue who has a good affinity with Bianconi having also produced the stakes placed multiple city winner Alcohol by him.
That six-year-old has also been racing in fine form of late, saluting at Morphettville in September.
2¼ length maiden winner Winfrey was another of Bianconi’s successes on Saturday whilst Bianque looked good racing away to an easy debut victory over 1000m at Alice Springs.
And he had yet another new winner on Sunday, Financial Burden saluting by 2¼ lengths at only her second start at Mildura.
Also an easy winner at start number two was Shake It Shakira at Horsham last Friday, that Mark Young trained bay charging home from the rear to really catch the eye.
“Bianconi continues to prove himself a superior winner-getter,” said Ridgeview’s Phil & Fiona Sloane.
“Barely a week goes by without a Bianconi winner or two making him the ideal Super Vobis and Vobis Gold stallion.”
Bianconi is standing this season for $5,500 (incl gst)
